acrylic aquarium polishing

I managed to get my hands on a used 3/8" thickness acrylic aquarium measuring 4'x4'x17" (lwh), and I'm currently in the process of trying to buff out the scratches on the outside of a pane. I don't have before pics, but I'll post about the process I took and the results.. hopefully in image form..
